Christmas on S/V Imagine

Christmas on S/V Imagine is not much different than Christmas in a house. I get JOY no matter if it is on the boat or on land. Joy is the settled assurance that God is in control of all the details of my life, the quiet confidence that ultimately everything is going to be alright, and the determined choice to praise God in every situation. I feel this everyday of my life, and am grateful for having it. I wonder how sometimes things have turned out so well at this point in my life.  Choice is what we all have, and by the grace of God we are able to fail and try again.  Even with all the bad or good choices we might have made.  It is only a blink of an eye of what is to come for all of us that believe. As I sit here riding out a storm that has blown into south Texas, winds blowing up to 40 mph with the boat rocking.  The wife is tucked in bed like a baby, and I am up enjoying my morning. We are a week away from flying back home to Arkansas to visit family, and see my first born John Clyde Ekenseair graduate from John Brown University.  He has been awarded a Bachelor of Science with a major in Organizational Management  Cum Laude. WOW!!! So very proud of him, he has worked hard with many struggles in his life also, but he started making good choices that have paid off for him.  I remember the weeks before he graduated form High School, touch and go as it was he made it.  He is now a grown man, focused, grounded and very successful.  Very proud of the work he has put in, and cannot wait to see how his success will continue.  We will then rush back for the final week of Christmas, travel to north Louisiana and visit James Paul and Hailey with two of our grandchildren for Christmas morning.  Cason is my little bull dozer that is full of energy and a heart that fears NOTHING!  Then Cadie is like a small fawn with eyes so blue that will freeze your heart with love that will never go away.  Then drive back to the boat for Carols Mom and Dad to spend a couple of days with us.  We have a gastro experience awaiting for them, and by the time they leave they will not long for seafood for a while.  So with all the bad that is going on, we still have this Christian holiday, that gives us hope. Merry Christmas from S/V Imagine.      Our Tree
